"You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf."
Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, also known as MBSR, is an eight-week, practice-based, interactive course that uses mindful meditation practices, mindful movement (gentle yoga), group dialogue and inquiry as a way of helping people learn to relate differently to stressors in their lives. We will examine stress reactivity versus stress response while becoming more aware of our thoughts, feelings and sensations in a way that suspends judgment and self-criticism. Many people report finding inner strengths and resources that help them make wiser decisions about their health and life in general.
All courses run 8 consecutive weeks. The All-Day Retreat is held on a weekend day between sessions 6 and 7.
Dates may change depending on the needs of the group.
